Used Book Donations & Store Credit

We love giving books a second life!

If you have books you'd like to trade in, please email a list of the titles first to hello@nationofnowherebooks.com. We'll review the list and let you know which books we can accept before you haul them all down to the shop.

Store Credit

Books accepted in good, clean condition can earn the following store credit:

  • Paperbacks: €2 store credit

  • Hardbacks: €3 store credit

  • Bargain books: €1 store credit (these are older titles or books that are already widely available in the second-hand market)

Store credit can be used towards the purchase of any used books in store, but not new books.

Used Book Prices

  • €4 – Bargain books

  • €8 – Standard paperbacks

  • €10 – Hardbacks and special editions

A Few Things to Note

  • We generally offer store credit for up to 15 books per customer at a time.

  • If you have a larger collection, please mention this in your email. Depending on our current stock levels and available space, we may ask you to bring the books in over several weeks or accept some as donations only.

  • You're always welcome to donate additional books, even if we're unable to offer store credit for them.

  • We can only accept books in good, clean condition, and acceptance is always subject to our current stock levels, available space, and what our customers are looking for.
